Our open mic really is what it says on the tin. We invite you to showcase your music with nothing more than Myrtle the Mic. No plugs ins, no amps, no DIs! Performing acoustically in front of just one condenser microphone is a thing of beauty and a skill that many traditional bluegrass and roots bands & artists use to great effect. We welcome artists of all genres & ability to join us at fabulous night. No booking needed at the moment. We judge how many songs by how many of you turn up.

This is the one for all the traditional folk music players out there. Join like minded musicians from all over the local areas (and beyond) and play the music you love in a great environment. With beers a flowing and space a plenty you get let the music play and just make the wolrd a better place by keeping tradtional folk alive & kicking. All are welcome. Please note this is a session and not a 'play in a round'.

The Veterans Garage has a great Bike Night every Monday. During winter is gets a wee bit cold and dark so we thought what better way to bring us all back together than with a PARTY!!!!!!
With LIVE music from the amazing VASTOPOL who are making their Manchester debut with their fantastic sounds, add in a few bevvies with mates and some food and we are laughing!
This will definitely not be our usual sit down intimate gig so grab your dancing boots and come and get your dixie on!

Otis Gibbs is a Songwriter, storyteller, painter, photographer and planter of 7,176 trees. He once wrestled a bear, and lost. He has been described as “The best unknown songwriter in music today.” If you ask him, he’ll simply say he’s a Folk Singer.
He also hosts a podcast called Thanks For Giving Damn which features your favorite musicians, journalists and historians sharing memories, backstage stories and history lessons. His podcast quickly became a cult favorite and lead to him hosting Country Built on Pandora (USA) where Otis tells stories about the history of country music to his 3 million+ subscribers. He grew up in Wanamaker, Indiana, spent 12 years in East Nashville and has recently returned home to Indianapolis with his long time partner, Amy Lashley.
